MONDAY:
6:00-7:00 PM: ALTERNATIVE BELLYDANCE
Damascus Sway presents Alternative Bellydance with Devra! These classes offer a blend of Oriental bellydance with traces of modern Thai and India modified moves.
Cost: $40 for 6 weeks, or $7 drop in
WEDNESDAY:
6:00-7:00: INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED BELLYDANCE w/Sheila
This intermediate/advanced class is designed for students who have been belly dancing for 1 year or more. Classes will incorporate basic belly dance movements as well as combinations of these movements and traveling variations of the movements. We will also cover layering basic belly dance technique; All sessions will begin with a full body warm up, and will include a shimmy session to get your heart rate up followed by a cool down session.
Each week new dance technique will be introduced and techniques taught in previous weeks will be reviewed. This allows you to join the class at any time!
Just come prepared to have fun!
7:15-8:15 BEGINNER BELLYDANCE w/Sheila
Belly dance is a fabulous, low impact, core strengthening workout, which promotes a positive body image. It will sculpt your abs, glutes, arms and legs. It’s a fun way to lose weight, strengthen and tone your body.
The class structure is designed for beginner students and will cover correct body position to protect you from straining your back or hurting yourself. You will learn basic belly dance movements as well as combinations of these movements and traveling variations of the movements. Each session will begin with a full body warm up, and will include a shimmy session to get your heart rate up followed by a cool down session.
Each week a new dance technique will be introduced and techniques taught in previous weeks will be reviewed.This allows you to join the class at any time.
Cost: $6 per class

American Tribal Style Belly Dance - all levels, 5:30-6:30
Discover the fun and share the joy and camaraderie of this graceful, cooperative dance form while building strength and confidence
Dress for ATS dance classes: Full skirt or loose pants, hip scarf, short top or leotard (or just wear something comfortable) Bare feet or dance shoes
Bring your zills (finger cymbals) if you have them.
Classes start promptly, please arrive 10-15 minutes before they begin!
